A real privacy address, a toll-free privacy line, and a data privacy form whose link goes nowhere at all.
How many clicks to find the privacy policy from the homepage?
One click, from the footer. Both “Privacy Policy” and “Privacy Notice” in the footer open the same web page, last updated 24 July 2024, with a contents list that works.
Is there a meaningful choice about cookies and tracking before data is collected?
Three buttons, identical, and a claim about what they do. The Ketch banner offers Accept All Cookies, Reject All Cookies and Cookie Settings at 288 by 40 pixels each, and states that optional cookies “will only be set if you accept them”. Refusing is one click, at the same size, in the same style.
How hard is the policy to read, how much of it is there, and can you get it in one piece?
Grade 13.7 across 4,726 words, in one place. Difficulty 1, length 3, access 4. Hard prose, but short enough to get through, and the whole notice is on one page. Measure it yourself.
How many clicks to reach data settings, and can you delete your account yourself?
A dedicated privacy address and a phone line, and a form that does not exist. DataPrivacy@Olaplex.com is published in the notice, and so is a toll-free number, (800) 665-4086, for privacy requests specifically, which almost nobody else here offers. But the sentence telling you to “fill our the Data Privacy form here” links to nothing: the anchor is a bare hash, it carries no script, and clicking it does nothing but add a character to the address bar. The contacts are real. The self-serve route is not.
Find the support page. How many clicks, and is there a way to speak to a human?
Contact Us from the footer, with hours. A message form and published operating hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Eastern, plus a chat widget on the site.

Olaplex does the expensive parts properly. It publishes a privacy address that is only for privacy, and a toll-free number for privacy requests, which is rarer in this index than any consent banner. Then it tells you to fill out a data privacy form and links the words to nothing, in a sentence that also contains a typo. That single dead anchor is the difference between a self-serve route and an email, and it costs Olaplex two points on Control. It is the cheapest fix on this page.
