Harry Rosen
Retail · harryrosen.com
14 out of 20 Trust-aware
A short, hard-to-read policy that has not been touched since 2023, on a site running seven services it never mentions.
How many clicks to find the privacy policy from the homepage?
One click, from the footer. Opens as a web page, clearly titled. The date on it reads October 2023, second only to Reitmans as the oldest privacy policy in the index.
Is there a meaningful choice about cookies and tracking before data is collected?
No banner, and cookies are not really addressed. Nothing appears on a first load, and Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta identifiers are set immediately. The policy describes withdrawing consent by writing to the Privacy Officer and does not set out a cookie opt-out of any kind.
How hard is the policy to read, how much of it is there, and can you get it in one piece?
Grade 14.3 across 1,557 words, in one place. Difficulty 0, length 4, access 4. One of the shortest policies measured and one of the hardest to read, which is the trade-off the two measured parts exist to expose: brevity is not the same thing as plainness. Measure it yourself.
How many clicks to reach data settings, and can you delete your account yourself?
Deletion by written request. privacy@harryrosen.com is named for data deletion, and consent withdrawal goes through the Privacy Officer. The policy is candid that withdrawing consent disables the ability to redeem CLUB HARRY points already earned, which is worth knowing before you ask.
Find the support page. How many clicks, and is there a way to speak to a human?
A phone number on the homepage. 1-800-917-6736 sits in the footer itself, alongside a Contact Us page. A shopper can reach a person without leaving the front page.

Harry Rosen sells in person and its privacy record reads that way: easy to reach a human, a short document, and almost no thought given to what the website does. A policy last revised in 2023 cannot describe the seven analytics and advertising services the site loads today, and the honest note about losing CLUB HARRY points on withdrawal shows the company can write plainly when it chooses to.
