A refusal button the same size as the accept button, a rights form one click from the footer, and a policy updated three days before this was scored.
How many clicks to find the privacy policy from the homepage?
One click, from the footer. “Privacy Policy” opens as a web page carrying a Last Updated date of 14 August 2026, three days before this was scored. The publisher is Kirby Beauty LLC, trading as Cécred.
Is there a meaningful choice about cookies and tracking before data is collected?
Reject All the same size as Accept All Cookies. The OneTrust banner offers three full-width buttons, “Cookies Settings”, “Reject All” and “Accept All Cookies”, with four categories behind the first and a Reject All repeated inside it. Refusing costs exactly one click, the same as agreeing. Forty-seven cookies are already set while you decide, advertising identifiers among them, which is worth knowing but is not what this dimension measures.
How hard is the policy to read, how much of it is there, and can you get it in one piece?
Grade 13.0 across 5,034 words, in one place. Difficulty 1, length 2, access 4. Undergraduate prose at a length most people will not finish, but it is one document and it is current. Measure it yourself.
How many clicks to reach data settings, and can you delete your account yourself?
A rights form one click from the footer, no account needed. “Your Privacy Choices INTL” opens a Cécred-branded OneTrust webform that anyone can submit. It is worth noting what a Canadian actually gets: the INTL form offers a single unlabelled “General User Request”, while the USA form beside it lists Access, Delete and Do Not Sell by name. The right is the same; only the American is told what it is called.
Find the support page. How many clicks, and is there a way to speak to a human?
A chat window on every page, and an address that answers. The support chat sits in the corner of every page and opens into a help centre with a Contact us route; support@cecred.com is published in both the help articles and the policy.
Overall finding
18 out of 20 Trust-aware
Cécred scores 18, which puts it level with Fenty Beauty at the top of the beauty set and one point below Aldo and Clarks, the only brands in the whole index that have reached 19. It earns it in the two places that are hardest to fake: a consent gate where refusing is genuinely as easy as agreeing, and a rights form that a person can reach in one click without holding an account. What holds it back is the same thing that holds back almost everyone here, a policy written at undergraduate reading level and long enough that few will finish it. The asymmetry in the request form is the detail worth fixing: a Canadian is handed one blank box where an American is handed named rights.
