A Reject All button on a bulk food retailer, which four of Canada’s five big banks still do not offer.
How many clicks to find the privacy policy from the homepage?
One click, from the footer. Opens as a web page. No last-updated date appears anywhere on it, which is the document’s one real gap.
Is there a meaningful choice about cookies and tracking before data is collected?
Reject All, one click, beside Accept All. The banner carries “Customize”, “Reject All” and “Accept All”. Reject and Accept are the same size and sit side by side; only the fill colour differs, and Customize opens category control beside them. RBC, TD, BMO and CIBC have no Reject All button anywhere in their consent flows. A bulk food chain does.
How hard is the policy to read, how much of it is there, and can you get it in one piece?
Grade 13.9 across 3,480 words, in one place. Difficulty 1, length 3, access 4. Middling prose at a manageable length. Measure it yourself.
How many clicks to reach data settings, and can you delete your account yourself?
A privacy address, and nothing self-serve. privacy@bulkbarn.ca is published in the policy, separately from the general customer service address. There is no request form.
Find the support page. How many clicks, and is there a way to speak to a human?
A named address and a postal one. Contact Us opens with “Here are our digits” and lists the corporate office in Aurora, Ontario, with customerservice@bulkbarn.ca published in the policy.
Overall finding

Bulk Barn is the plainest illustration in this index that a good consent banner is not a budget question. It is a bulk food retailer with no app, no loyalty platform and no privacy team, and it offers a one-click Reject All that four of the Big Five banks do not. What it lacks is everything after the gate: no request form, no date on the policy, and a privacy address as the only route in.
